Do you want to help create more support for victims of violence in society?

Agera Kvinnojour is looking for a junior project manager for 80% as our project manager is going on parental leave. Our ambition is for the regular project manager to continue to be available one day a week, which means you will work closely with the project manager and receive support in prioritization and process management. As a junior project manager, you will lead the project's implementation based on an existing work process. You will be part of a team, with both internal and external partners. In this role, you will work administratively, with digital tools, coordinating and simultaneously have a central function in a socially beneficial mission. Travel in the job may occur.

About the project

“Meet Me Right” is an educational project where Agera Kvinnojour, together with partners, develops training for women's shelters and authorities focusing on equitable treatment of women and children affected by violence. The aim is to increase the competence of professionals and volunteers so that all women and children affected by violence, regardless of background, religion, ethnicity, appearance, etc., receive a safe and respectful response.

Job responsibilities:

The role includes supporting the project's implementation and execution through close collaboration with other actors. The work involves ensuring that the project is driven in line with set goals. Furthermore, it includes developing educational materials and methods, planning and conducting workshops, and being involved in anchoring the project's results both internally and externally. An important part of the assignment is also to participate in reference groups and network meetings, as well as to continuously follow up and report on the project's progress.

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience working in projects from start to finish, preferably experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Has experience compiling workshops.
• Is structured, meticulous, and can prioritize between different tasks.
• Has knowledge of anti-racism, norm criticism, violence prevention, or violence in close relationships.
• Is not afraid to take initiative and come up with new ideas.

Meritorious

• Experience as a junior project manager or in a coordinating role previously.
• Experience in educational work
• Experience within non-profit organizations
• Experience working with authorities

About Agera

Agera Kvinnojour is a non-profit organization founded in 2014. The association's purpose is to work against violence and oppression of individuals who identify as women or girls and their accompanying children, as well as for women's equality in all areas of life. The association will also work preventively against violence in close relationships and strive for change in destructive gender norms. The women's shelter's work should be based on a clear perspective of women and children and characterized by openness and respect for the equal value of all people.

We offer sheltered housing and have space for 10 women with accompanying children. We also offer support conversations to individuals seeking help through our external conversation reception. We actively work with violence prevention and outreach efforts. The women's shelter currently has 14 employees and about 35 volunteers associated with the organization. We actively work with support and coordination of our volunteers.

About the employment:

The employment is temporary for 8 months but may be extended. The extent is 80%. We offer hybrid work and have flexible hours.
